Well, like any woman throughout her life...I am constantly in transition. Change is a usual part of my work week.
It started with losing my mom, who was 54, to cancer. Then my husband left me and my world as I knew it fell apart. I was a stay-at-home mom with two kids, no job, and I lived in the most suburban place in the world. My answer was to start writing. I wrote about my transition and about finding myself. That book, Happy Beginnings: How I Became My Own Fairy Godmother was my story of discovering that my fairy godmother wasn't coming to rescue me...I had to rescue myself.
I built my own company, Scepter Press, and I published my book. Then I spent the next five years helping other women by speaking, one-to-one work, and developing The Fairy Godmother Conferences.
During that time I got an idea for a novel and wrote half of Beatrice Munson my first novel. But I set it aside for five years until I met the man of my dreams. He asked me what I wanted to do and the answer was clearly and loudly...write. So I became a novelist. Started Lorena B Books and began writing.
Today I have three books out in the marketplace and nine more books in my writing queue. I love what I do and I'm thrilled to be following my passion.
